As this day begins to draw towards its close, let’s take a few quiet moments together to rest in the truth that our heavenly Father knows us completely and loves us deeply. There are times when we expect too much of ourselves. We become frustrated by our weaknesses, disappointed by our limitations or weary from trying to carry more than we were ever meant to bear. Yet God does not look upon us with impatience or disappointment. He looks upon us with the tender compassion of a loving Father who understands exactly who we are and remembers our deepest need for His grace.  Psalm 103:13–14 (NIV) “As a father has compassion on his children, so the Lord has compassion on those who fear him; for he knows how we are formed, he remembers that we are dust.” What a comforting truth for this evening. Our heavenly Father knows every part of our lives—our victories, our struggles, our questions and our weariness. Nothing surprises Him, and nothing causes Him to withdraw His love. Instead, His compassion meets us with mercy, His grace lifts us gently and His faithful care reminds us that we are never facing life alone. So tonight, let’s gently remind ourselves that fear will not win, because Jesus Christ lovingly understands our weakness and faithfully surrounds us with His compassion every single day. Father, thank You for Your patient love and Your compassionate heart. Thank You that You know us completely and continue to receive us with mercy and kindness. Lord Jesus, bless every listener this evening. Bring healing to those who are unwell, comfort to those who feel burdened, renewed strength to those who have grown weary and quiet assurance to everyone who needs to know Your loving care. Help us rest tonight in the certainty of Your compassion. Holy Spirit, remind us that we are deeply loved, strengthen us with Your gentle presence and help us extend the same compassion to those around us. Across the world, from Adelaide to Queenstown, from Singapore to Denver and Montevideo, may every listener finish this day resting in the compassionate love of the Father, revealed perfectly through Jesus Christ.
