The conversations have faded, today’s responsibilities have been laid down and the night invites us to rest. Before we close our eyes, let’s remember a beautiful truth. While we sleep, God does not. His loving care never pauses, His watchful eye never turns away and His faithful presence never leaves His people. Tonight, we can rest because the Lord remains faithfully awake over every moment of our lives. Scripture (NIV) “The LORD will keep you from all harm—he will watch over your life; the LORD will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore.” — Psalm 121:7–8 Heavenly Father, thank You for watching over us throughout this day and for the promise that Your care continues through this night. As we prepare to sleep, we place ourselves, our families and all those we love into Your faithful hands. Quiet every anxious thought, calm every restless heart and surround our homes with Your peace. Help us to release tomorrow into Your care, trusting that the God who has been faithful today will remain faithful tomorrow. May we sleep in confidence, knowing that Your loving presence surrounds us and Your unfailing care never comes to an end. Fear will not win, because the Lord faithfully watches over His people both now and forevermore. May the Lord watch over you tonight, grant you peaceful rest and gently remind you that His faithful care never sleeps.
