If your heart feels heavy today, if you’re praying for healing, comfort or renewed strength, let’s pause together and discover once again how near God comes to those who are hurting.  Psalm 34:17–18 (NIV) “The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears them; he delivers them from all their troubles. The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” What wonderful reassurance these words bring. Our tears are never unnoticed, our prayers are never unheard and our lives are never beyond God’s loving care. Today, let this truth settle deeply within your heart: fear will not win, because the Lord draws near to those who call upon Him, and His presence is greater than every sorrow we carry. Father, thank You that You are close to us in every season of life. Thank You that Your compassion never grows tired and Your mercy never runs out. Lord Jesus, bring healing to every hurting heart. Comfort those who are grieving, strengthen those who feel weary, restore those whose hope has faded and surround every listener with the assurance of Your unfailing love. Help us to keep trusting You, even when we cannot yet understand the road we are walking. Holy Spirit, breathe fresh hope into our hearts, quiet every fear and help us become gentle reflections of Christ’s compassion to those around us. Across the world, from Melbourne to Wellington, from Singapore to Chicago and Bogotá, may every listener know today that the Lord is near, His love is unfailing and His hope is stronger than every fear.
