Together we place this day into the Lord’s hands and receive His peace. Psalm 4:8 (NIV) “In peace I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, Lord, make me dwell in safety.” As the day begins to draw to a close, many people are carrying thoughts they wish they could switch off. Some are thinking about family. Some are thinking about work. Some are replaying conversations they wish had gone differently. Others are quietly wondering what tomorrow may bring. Many people understand those feelings tonight. The evening has a way of slowing everything down. Yet sometimes when the day becomes quieter, our minds become louder. Concerns can seem bigger. Questions can feel heavier. Worries can try to follow us into the night. Yet the Lord offers us something beautiful. Not merely sleep. Peace. The peace that comes from knowing that God remains present. The peace that comes from knowing that we are not carrying tomorrow alone. The peace that comes from placing ourselves into the hands of a faithful Father. Tonight, before you rest, remember this: The Lord who carried you through today will still be watching over you tonight. Father, thank You for Your care throughout this day. Lord Jesus, I place every burden, every worry, and every unanswered question into Your hands. Thank You that I do not need to carry them through the night. Holy Spirit, quiet every anxious thought and calm every restless heart. Fill us with Your peace and help us rest securely in the presence of God. From Nashville to Lagos, from São Paulo to Auckland and Singapore, may weary hearts find comfort, anxious minds discover peace, and every listener know the safety of God’s loving care tonight. Jesús, gracias porque cuidas de mí esta noche. Jesus, obrigado porque cuidas de mim esta noite. Jesus, salamat dahil binabantayan Mo ako ngayong gabi. Amen.
