This is the moment to stop, breathe and remember where our hope is found. Scripture — Psalm 42:11 (NIV) “Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Savior and my God.” By the middle of the day, the determination you had this morning may have begun to fade. You may still be doing everything that needs to be done, but inside, your heart feels low. Sometimes we keep moving while quietly wondering when we will feel hopeful again. The psalmist speaks honestly to that kind of heart and says, “Put your hope in God.” Lord Jesus, we bring You our weariness, our questions and the emotions we cannot easily explain. Today we pray for people in Ireland, South Korea, Botswana, Netherlands, Israel, and Zimbabwe. Encourage those who feel discouraged, lonely or emotionally drained. Holy Spirit, breathe fresh hope into people who have been trying to remain strong for everyone else. Jesus, teach us that hope is not pretending everything is fine. Hope is choosing to turn towards You even when our feelings have not caught up with our faith. Where disappointment has made us cynical, soften our hearts. Where waiting has made us restless, give us patience. Where we have lost sight of what You have already done, help us remember Your faithfulness. We began this day receiving mercy. Then You gave us strength to persevere. Now, Lord, lift our eyes again. You are still our Saviour. You are still our God. You are still worthy of our trust. So we breathe deeply, place our hope in You and receive fresh strength for the rest of this day. Amen.
