There is a need not just to sleep, but to be covered—to know that I am held securely under Your protection. Your Word reminds me that when I dwell in You, I rest under Your shadow. I am not exposed. I am not unguarded. I am positioned under Your covering. So I come close to You now. I place myself fully under Your shelter. I do not carry fear into this night. I do not allow anxiety to settle within me. I choose to dwell in Your presence. Jesus, cover me completely. Surround me with Your protection. Let no disturbance come near me. Let no fear take hold. Establish me in rest that is deep, uninterrupted, and secure. In You alone I dwell in safety. Not in circumstances, not in what I feel—but in You.
