Some thoughts are loud, others are soft, and some I cannot easily name. Yet Your promise speaks clearly into this hour: “Quem habita no esconderijo do Altíssimo descansará à sombra do Onipotente.” Tonight, I ask You to draw me beneath that shadow. Let Your presence calm the places within me that feel unsettled, restless, or uncertain. Quiet the noise that lingers even when the world outside grows still. Your words in John lift gently over my spirit: “Do not let your hearts be troubled.” Jesus, I offer You the troubled places now. I release the heaviness, the racing thoughts, the silent fears. A Tua presença é a minha paz suave. Let this truth take root in the deepest part of me. Where anxiety has built walls, bring Your peace. Where the day has taken strength, pour rest back into me. Where questions remain unanswered, remind me that You are already in tomorrow. As this night deepens, wrap me in Your protective shadow. Protect my rest from worry. Guard my heart from the echoes of the day. Lift every concern that tries to rise when everything else is quiet. Teach my breath to slow. Teach my thoughts to settle. Teach my heart to trust You again in the quiet of this hour. Jesus, let Your nearness become the comfort I lean into. Let Your peace move softly through my spirit. Let Your love steady me until morning. Tonight, I rest in You. I rest under Your shadow.
