Concerns about tomorrow. Unfinished responsibilities. Questions that remain unanswered. Situations that still feel uncertain. It is often easier to carry burdens into the night than it is to leave them behind. Many people understand that feeling. The mind has a way of returning to things we cannot change. We replay conversations, revisit concerns, and imagine outcomes that have not yet happened. While the body grows tired, the heart can continue carrying weight long after the day itself has ended. Yet Psalm 4 offers a beautiful invitation.David speaks of lying down in peace because his confidence rests not in circumstances but in God. Safety is not found in having every answer. Peace is not found in controlling every outcome. True rest is found in trusting the faithfulness of the Lord. The God who carried us through today will still be present tomorrow. The God who has guided us through previous seasons remains trustworthy tonight. His care does not end when the day ends. His watchfulness does not sleep when we sleep. Father, thank You for bringing me safely through this day. Thank You for every unseen act of grace, every moment of protection, and every reminder of Your faithfulness. Jesus, tonight I place every burden into Your hands. I release every worry, every fear, and every concern about tomorrow. Help me trust You with the things I cannot control and rest securely in Your care. Holy Spirit, quiet every anxious thought and calm every restless feeling. Fill my heart with peace, comfort, and reassurance. Help me sleep deeply tonight, knowing that God’s loving presence surrounds me. Across the world, from Nashville to Lagos, from São Paulo to Auckland and Singapore, may anxious hearts discover peace, weary minds find rest, and every listener experience the comfort and faithfulness of God tonight.
