Psychology and Shamanism
from Fire it up with CJ Hosted by Talk 4 Radio
CJ Liu interviews Richard Katz, MD about his book "Indigenous Healing Psychology: Honoring the Wisdom of the First People". Find out why Richard feels that psychology was less about healing and balance and more about problem finding and fixing. Richard contrasts this approach to indigenous cultures where healing had a more upbeat and authentic expression. Richard offers best practices that indigenous healers use that could be used with traditional Western practices.
