Public Health Advisory on Current Respiratory Virus Situation in Saint Lucia

The Ministry of Health, Wellness and Elderly Affairs advises the public that we are currently in the flu season which runs from October to March. During this period, the ministry notes an increase in people having respiratory viruses. Therefore, residents are urged to take proactive steps to protect themselves from respiratory illnesses such as washing hands frequently, avoiding close contact with individuals who are sick, wearing a mask, covering mouth and nose when coughing and sneezing, cleaning and disinfecting commonly touched spaces and getting vaccinated.
