Summary
Gerald Blancmange invokes the Bard of Avon with his take on "Shall I Compare Thee To A Summer's Pudding" while pondering treacle and pirates and swashbuckling tones. Then Professor McGuire offers his own treatise on treacle then introduces us to a book he recently purchased, "Pride & Pudding: The History of British Puddings, Savoury and Sweet" written by Regula Ysewijn. Professor McGuire's interns get in contact with the author's literary agent - Gloria Flan - to discuss an appearance on Pudding Masters. The group ends up agreeing that if Gerald Blancmange and Professor McGuire beat Gloria and the author in a game of Euchre at Aunt Clootie's Personal Pudding Place that they may appear on Pudding Masters. Then Professor McGuire asks Gerald Blancmange to visit his university to be a guest lecturer this fall. And Gerald remembers the first time his mother let him handle the whisk. Finally, it's time for Limerick Corner! Professor McGuire's offering: In our most recent blue ribbon cooking competition The prize was a university tuition The group sweated and worked And i just offered a smirk For i knew with pudding I was a magician Gerald Blancmange's offering: Some say that flan is pretentious This moral discussion can get quite contentious But it is ubiquously known Caramel must be left alone Because stirring can make it licentious All the silky grooves and original music you hear is written and performed by Gerald Blancmange. Pudding Masters is brought to you by Uncle Dave's Taint Cream and Aunt Clootie's Personal Pudding Place.
