Puppy Mills, Pet Stores, and Animal Welfare with Elizabeth Oreck of Best Friends Animal Society

In this  episode I chat with Elizabeth Oreck. Elizabeth is the national manager of Best Friends Animal Society's housing initiatives which  focuses on helping keep pets with their people regardless of their housing  situation. She is also the national manager of Best Friends' puppy mill initiatives and she has been instrumental in changing legislation around pet stores and puppy mills throughout the US. In addition to all the great work she does for animal welfare, we chat about the connection between puppy mills, dogs you find online, and pet stores.  We also chat about why it is so important to do your research and only adopt or purchase a dog from a shelter, reputable rescue or reputable breeder.Helpful Links:Best Friends Animal Society - https://bestfriends.orgAdvocacy - https://bestfriends.org/advocacy Puppy Mill Awareness - https://www.tiktok.com/@bestfriendsanimalsociety/video/7144280916137970990?is_copy_url=1&is_from_webapp=v1&lang=enSend us Fan MailSupport the showFollow The Baroo:Instagram - https://www.instagram.com/baroopup/Blog- https://www.thebaroo.com/Facebook- https://www.facebook.com/baroopet/   Pet parent question or story of canine companionship  to share ?
