If you bring home the bacon, you earn the money needed to support your family. In their family, he works hard to bring home the bacon. She left her old job and now brings home the bacon for the whole family. My husband has a good job. He makes enough money to support our family. So we say he brings home the bacon. You have to be the man in this house, which means bringing home the bacon. And when you say you’re gonna be here, you be here!
