Question 34: What should you do if there are spirits and paranormal events in your house?

Many spirits wander among us, unable to easily reincarnate. Some have been roaming for centuries without finding a place to be reborn, constantly tormented by hunger and thirst. These spirits can be found in various locations: on streets, in trees, along riverbanks, in abandoned houses, and even in our own homes. They desperately hope that we will notice their presence, empathize with them, and offer help, especially by providing food. Since they can't communicate with us clearly, they often create unusual phenomena to signal their presence. Unfortunately, we often misinterpret these signs and mistakenly believe they have malicious intent, leading us to react excessively.We might resort to asking a shaman to exorcise them (poor them!). We may not realize that the shaman might summon evil spirits to drive away the original spirit and guard the area, potentially causing even more terrifying situations. These idle evil spirits can cause even more harm.Instead, we should apply Buddhist principles: offer food to the spirits (with a specific incantation), recite sutras to pray for their liberation, and play Dharma talks in a corner of the house, inviting them to listen. In a short time, they will likely be able to reincarnate.
