Question 39: How to practice worship when living in crowded accommodations?

from PRACTICE GUIDE FOR LAY PRACTITIONERS · host Janna Order Monastery

Muslims are required to pray five times a day, regardless of their location, even on a flying airplane. They don't need an altar; they simply face the direction of the holy city of Mecca. If we don't have conditions for a proper altar at home, we should try to visit a nearby temple to worship, at least once a day. If we can't go to the temple, we can kneel by the window, facing the sky, to worship. If our living space is crowded, we can go for a walk, sit on a park bench, or stand in a quiet place and silently recite words of respect for the Three Noble Jewels, vows of practice, etc. This is a temporary solution. However, for meditation, we must find a quiet and private place.#Buddhism #SpiritualPractice #LayPractitioner #Worship #Mindfulness #Dharma #Devotion #InnerPeace #Meditation #Faith
