Radical Forgiveness: Healing Mother Wounds

Hello, friend! Welcome back to the show. In this tea time Tuesday episode, I’m talking to you about mother wounds and radical forgiveness. Many of us who have varying degrees of estrangement from our child have been wounded by our mothers. These mother wounds take root at a deep level, and until we heal from them, we repeat situations that bring up feelings of rejection and abandonment that we felt as children. But when we take steps to forgive and heal, we demolish strongholds and gain freedom. Let’s talk about it.  . The prayer from this episode: Help me to take even a microstep to forgive my mother for the feelings of abandonment, rejection, fear (or insert whatever the emotions are for you) that she caused me to feel. Help me to love both the child I was at that moment and the person my mother was, even in her brokenness or poor choices. Please show me what forgiveness would think and do. In Jesus’ name. Amen.  .
