Radio: MOJO

Well hot damn, it's FINALLY here! Lono has made good on his promise of a tribute to the late last great wildman of American music, the legendary Mojo Nixon! Wrapped around a full Mojo live show he attended in 2001, Lono gives the full story of his short time basking in the crazed shadow of true hero, Mojo! It was a weird, amazing world back then. And for Lono, this was the last honest strange and incredible trip before the world was forever changed. Now Lono doesn't even scratch the surface of the Mojo Nixon story, this is a very personal slice in time, from 1 kid's perspective. Make damn sure you go down a long, wacky Mojo Nixon rabbithole after this, you will be changed! So, fire up a number, fix up a gin & tonic, and please enjoy a lifelong fan taking you back in time to the one of a kind party that was, Mojo Nixon LIVE! Many thanks to Artrocity for the amazingly clear bootleg, Earl B. Freedom for a killer documentary, and all The Toadliquors for always fuelling the brilliant insanity. To Bullethead for always being the coolest one in the room, & continuing to spearhead the genius of Mojo! And to Mojo hisownself, for making this fat little punk understand what truth and freedom can truly achieve in the hands of "one of god's own prototypes", as Dr. Thompson said! In the important words of the great Deke Dickerson, "Remember Mojo Nixon"! And the words of The Dead Milkmen are still true, "...if you don't got Mojo Nixon, then yer store could use some fixin'"!
