Originally known as DJ Hoody Weather since 2013, Hoody became a staple of the Richmond party scene holding down weekly residencies and appearances at hot spots like Helen’s, New York Deli, Starlite and more. A self-described “open format” DJ Hoody is most at home playing multiple genres in one set and likes to focus on keeping energy high and maintaining a fun vibe while choosing selections that will get the audience engaged and keep them moving. These skills were showcased to thousands of partygoers at RVA Mag’s RVA NYE events at Browns Island and the Siegel Center. In 2016 Hoody would launch his Expand Ur Mind dance party series which found a home at the Dark Room at the Hof before being sidelined by the Covid-19 pandemic. In 2023, Hoody is back in Richmond, ready to entertain without missing a beat.
