Cancer is the leading cause of disease related and non-accidental death in Australians aged 15-25 years. In Victoria alone, there are around 400 adolescent & young adults diagnosed each year (1500 in Australia). Established by paediatric, adolescent and young adults, malignant haematologist/oncologist Dr Rachel Conyers (Rachel Katherine), Treat Unique Service is the first of its type to be provided within the private health care setting to treat common cancers in adolescent and young adults. Rachel is supported by specialist team including Haematology and Oncology Nurse Coordinator Donna Gairns.
