Our Featured games this week we look back at 3 games from the the past.1986-05-03: St. Mirren 0-5 CelticCeltic snatch the championship by edging out Heart of Midlothian on the last day of the campaign. The margin was on goal difference, as Celtic beat St Mirren 5-0 at Love Street and Hearts fall to two late goals from Dundee at Dens Park.1988-05-14: Celtc 2-1 Dundee Utd, Scottish Cup FinalDifficult to begin to understand the atmosphere that surrounded this game. For the Celtic players, it was a chance to seal a memorable double for the club in our Centenary Season having wrapped up the league earlier on. For Dundee Utd, it was a chance to finally break their hoodoo in the Scottish Cup having lost countless number of finals to date (inc the previous cup final in 1987 by St Mirren). Despite being league winners, this was not going to be an easy game for Celtic, and Dundee Utd under the legendary Jim McLean were a very good and entertaining side with some quality players. 1991-03-17: Celtic 2-0 Rangers, Scottish Cup, St Patrick's Day massacre.Cracking win for Celtic after seeing us lose a man first (Peter Grant red card). Huns lost three players and a great morale boosting win saw us KO the huns. First half goals from Gerry Creaney & Shug (deflected free-kick) sealed the win, and no amount of posturing from the Huns could get them near us. Peter Grant made an ass of himself by getting sent off stupidly. He conceded a free-kick outside our box (first yellow) and then charged the free-kick down (second yellow) to get himself a red! Thankfully we survived.Great win as the support sang "Happy Birthday St Patrick" all day long.. Wonderful.
