Randy HaverfieldDISTRICT 5Randy Haverfield was originally elected to the Nampa City Council in November of 2013, was re-elected for a second term in 2017 and re-elected for a third term in November of 2021. For the last 44 years, Randy and his wife, Laurie, have enjoyed living in Nampa, raising their three children here and being a part of the wonderful Nampa community. In that time frame he has been a very active member on several key Nampa city boards and commissions, including the Nampa Planning & Zoning Commission, the Nampa Airport Commission and the Nampa Development Corporation, Nampa Arts & Historic Preservation Commission and Nampa Design Review Commission.   Randy has a master's degree in Architecture and has owned and operated a multi-state architectural practice in downtown Nampa for the past 30 years. He has been involved in the design and construction of many significant Nampa based projects, such as the recently completed Peterson Library and Learning Commons and the Conrad Student Center at Northwest Nazarene University, along with a wide variety of other architectural projects located throughout the Treasure Valley and state of Idaho.  Randy has a heart for the youth of the Nampa community. For 20 years, he enjoyed being involved as a volunteer coach for the Nampa Optimist Football program and the Nampa Babe Ruth Baseball Association. He also enjoyed the opportunity of being a high school varsity football and baseball coach (for 12 years) at Nampa Christian High School.Councilman Haverfield is current the past president of the Nampa City Council and served in that position for six years.Here We Have Idaho is a local radio show heard on KSPD 790 AM and 94.5 FM at 4pm on Wednesdays and Fridays.  Here We Have Idaho is a  show focusing on celebrating Idaho and all that makes Idaho great.  Hear We Have Idaho will focus on the issues and events that impact Idaho’s citizens and families.  Each week we will visit those that are writing Idaho’s story and keeping the spirit of our state song alive with hosts Victor Miller and  Tom Luna.https://www.790kspd.com/here-we-have-idaho/
