Rare Fire & Air Planetary Picture!

There’s a whole lot of activity in the sky this week, and talking about it with any real grasp means going conceptual — mythology, spiritual evolution, consciousness evolution, and the endless possibilities for real change. What that means exactly depends on the decisions each of us makes. As I talk about in my approach to astrology, each of us comes into this world with different energies and orientations.Every decision we make — or don’t make — affects one another. The last thing any of us should believe is that we don’t have an impact on the whole, because we do. Even if you feel disenfranchised, as though your voice or your ability to create change is zilch, that isn’t true. Think about building a fire from nothing — the two-sticks-together thing. Finding wood dry enough to catch, angling it just right, maybe using the sun or a piece of glass — it takes pulling the right elements together to create the momentum that ignites a fire.That’s a metaphor, but it also applies to the exchanges you have on the street, in conversations, in groups — however you approach other people’s situations shapes how it all plays out. We can feel like a leaf tossed in the wind — running through plane connections, moving along a city street as though it’s all chance. And it is, and it isn’t — because how we respond to what’s around us shapes the outcome.What we’re witnessing now — strategies, powers, governments, institutions, what we’re allowed to see or not see online — is all aimed at steering us in certain directions. Whether we go along or not, each of us, especially those of us with some measure of freedom, still has free will, and the privilege to use it.So when we feel stuck, when it seems like Pamela doesn’t know what she’s talking about — not even a remote possibility — I’ll say: maybe, and maybe not. Because we’re moving in a direction that’s all about igniting fire and air. That’s the outer-planet lineup this week, plus how the moon engages later on.Some of us will be far more active than others this week — especially if you have four degrees or so of an air or fire sign, or any sign in a geometric configuration with what’s coming up. So what is coming up? Let’s talk about this week, July 13, 2026.Monday: Moon in Cancer, Dark of the MoonThe week opens with the moon in Cancer. We’re in the dark of the moon Monday, building toward the new moon — exact at 5:44 a.m. Eastern on Tuesday the 14th, at 21°59’ Cancer. Cancer is the moon’s natural home — fecund, generative, geared toward giving birth.So what are we giving birth to? Each of us has a different dream or goal we’d like to roll out over the coming weeks, months, or year. Use this energy internally and intuitively — it’s about the emotional integrity of whatever that intention is. Use Monday to get clear on how you want to welcome it in.I’ll tell a quick story — the sanitized podcast version — about when I gave birth. I was a late-in-life mother, nearly 43, and had carried my daughter to what the U.S. considers term (Europe gives you two extra weeks, but in the States everyone’s in a hurry). Given my age, there were added reasons this was treated as urgent.That was a visceral dark-of-the-moon period — all the hopes of carrying a child, right on the cusp of her arrival. I sat with the head of obstetrics, who joined me in tears as she recognized how hard I’d worked toward a healthy birth — but if I didn’t go into labor that weekend, they’d induce Monday, for both the baby and my safety.In that moment I realized why we were both getting weepy: I’d been protecting this dream inside my body, and my body — and she — weren’t in any hurry to let go. She was comfortable in there. That’s when it hit me: while the baby’s inside, the mother can protect her. Once she’s born, she’s out in the world. That’s the reality of giving birth to a dream.Whether it’s a child, a piece of art, a book, a business, an idea, or something you’ve been wanting to say out loud — whatever needs to get out is what we liberate on Monday. Get clear, release the fear, release the old stuff, and use that energy — because it is energy. Whatever the hesitation, the “not perfect enough” feeling, we’re feeding it. What we want instead is to recycle that energy toward launching the dream.It’s a loaded day: a Venus-Uranus square suggests something unexpected — a shiny object pulling you off course. Stay clear on what to release so you keep moving toward your new-moon intention. Do you have the support system you need? Baby came out dancing.Tuesday, July 14: New Moon, Then Void of CourseNew moon exact at 5:44 a.m., then the moon goes void of course the rest of the day — no aspects, no “glue.” With the moon void in Cancer, stay in that content, comfortable place: eat well, be somewhere or with people that feel good. Even at a desk, glance at a picture of the ocean — anything that gives you a sense of floating possibilities.The moon enters Leo at 6:35 p.m. — fixed fire now, energy that holds whatever we’re working to make happen. There may be a small bump early evening — a grievance or sadness surfacing, easy to imagine given how much comes up in the world right now.But the real focus is the moon’s conjunction with Jupiter in Leo late that evening — opening opportunities, conversations, and the chance to receive what you’ve been angling for. Especially true for fire and air signs, particularly early degrees. This isn’t just about money — it’s about the expansion that leads to abundance, financial or otherwise. It’s about staying open to what’s within reach.Tunnel vision is what impoverishes us — believing opportunity only comes through one doorway, and missing the one standing wide open beside it because we’re fixated on what we think we want. That’s why getting clear on the goal matters: so we don’t limit ourselves to one path to get there. Otherwise it wouldn’t occur to us to put on the music and dance.Leave room for joy — Jupiter is jovial. It can be heavy-handed too; Zeus took what he wanted — but mythology always brought a reckoning. That’s the same principle: how we engage determines whether the energy burns destructively or warms like a hearth. Tending the fire is everything.As the moon moves into Leo, it “cooks the soup” — the right people, the right ingredients coming together. It also trines Neptune in early Aries and later Saturn — but first opposes Pluto in Aquarius.All the big players are on the field: Jupiter (expansion, possibility), Uranus in Gemini (change, rebellion, the unexpected — miss it if you’re too locked into one version of how things should look), Neptune (letting us dream bigger than we thought possible — “wait, I can actually connect with that?”).Then Pluto opposing the moon says: you want to be the star, but this is about the collective. Think of the plutocracy — not many of them, but enough — throwing their weight around to determine elections, humanity’s fate, the planet’s fate. That’s ego. That’s hubris. Pluto in Aquarius answers: this is about all of us — the people, the animals, the planet that might eject us if we don’t learn to cooperate.We won’t see it fully play out this week, but the pot is bubbling. Expect revelations, exposures, more transparency — even with all the siphoning of what news we’re shown. Things start to crack open, because that’s what friction and ignition do. This outer-planet lineup isn’t an accident — it’s rare, this many planets in low degrees of air and fire. Yang energy. Change. Movement. We can’t stay in this paradigm — it’s breaking apart. Expect this to show up in real-world events, and in things once thought impenetrable starting to shift.Moon goes void of course at 6:27 p.m. Wednesday the 15th — a good evening for play, nothing major. Get anything important done before then.Thursday, July 16: Void of Course All Day, Then Into VirgoThe moon doesn’t enter Virgo until 8:07 p.m., so it’s void of course all day in Leo. Make it a play day — bounce ideas around, don’t try to nail anything down.And remember: Mercury is retrograde this week, so avoid signing contracts or locking into anything ongoing — it may not hold, or may not last.
