Rastafarian Community Praised for Promoting African Heritage and Emancipation Awareness

The Rastafarian community has been commended for its longstanding efforts to promote awareness of African heritage, Pan-Africanism and the significance of Emancipation. Speaking during Emancipation Day celebrations in Vieux-Fort, Parliamentary Representative for Vieux-Fort North Hon. Moses Jn. Baptiste praised the community's contribution and highlighted plans for legislation to establish a regulated cannabis industry. Rastafari representative Aaron Alexander also welcomed the Government's elevation of Emancipation Day as a major event on the national calendar.
