The Louisville-raised lead singer reminisces about interning for Meredith in the early part of her career and the artists that were interviewed during that time (St. Vincent and Nada Surf come to mind) before turning the attention to teaming up with former Death Cab For Cutie member Chris Walla to help produce this new LP in Seattle, and how the album carries a certain bit of nostalgia and looking back within the lyrics.
