Reading and meditation on the Word of God on Wednesday of the fifth week of Easter, May 21, 2025

Acts of the Apostles 15: 1-6; Rs psalm 122: 1-2.3-4a.4b-5; John 15: 1-8.ABUNDANCE FRUITS IN JESUS The title for our meditation today is:Abundance Fruits in Jesus. The weeks after Easter Sunday or the day of Resurrectionnourish us with spirituality that is rich with great themes such as the breadof life, good shepherd, the house of the Father. Especially this week, we aretaught to love one another. These are wonderful spiritual experiences that weall treasure. In essence, God is always with Hispeople and endows every believer with all gifts, so that as individuals and asGod's people, we can live in this world to do His will dan plan. The appropriatesymbol to teach us this unity is the true vine. Jesus is the true vine, we areits branches, and the Father in heaven is the owner or the vine grower. The reality in the Church that showsdifferences in understanding and practice of faith, should be seen as part ofthe dynamic in the community of believers, as the branches often shaken againstthe wind and rainwater overflowing. These differences should not become thecause to damage life, for the vine, namely Jesus Christ, is the only Power thatprotects and sustains life. All misunderstandings and problems that arise fromthe the life of the Church will surely find their solutions in Jesus Christ. So our focus of attention on theabuncande fruits in Jesus Christ benefits us in our living together with Jesus asour head and we all pattern our lives after Him. These fruits are certainlyvery useful for the growth of our faith. The first fruit is holiness andevangelization. We as individuals and people of God recognize that holiness isour ideal, which is strongly supported by the works of evangelization. The second fruit is courage andwillingness to cut down the dry and useless parts of life, gather and burn themout. This is made through correction, reparation and repentance. The third isopportunity to grow and become a new person or community, to be more open aftercorrection and renewal. Fourth, we are therefore very happy to always beconnected with Jesus as the true vine. Fifth, if we are always with Jesus, wewill bear abundant fruits. Sixth, we indeed have a basic intention to alwayspraise and glorify our God and Father. Seventh, our dignity as followers ofChrist and the children of the Father is a very special and honorable position.Eighth, then we are sent by God to go and produce more good fruits, and ninth,not only to bear fruits but we must be able to survive in all forms of difficultiesand sufferings.Let's pray. In the name of theFather … O most loving Father, look at us with Your power and love, so that weare always related to the true vine, our Lord Jesus Christ.
