Readings and meditation on the Word of God on Easter Sunday, Resurrection of the Lord Jesus, April 5th, 2026

Acts of the Apostles 10: 34a.37-43; Rs psalm 118: 1-2.16ab-17.22-23; Colossians 3: 1-4; John 20: 1-9.ALLELUIA, CHRIST IS RISEN FROM THE DEAD The theme for our meditation on this Easter Sunday,the Resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ is: Alleluia, Christ isRisen from the Dead. All those who associate themselves with Jesus Christ willspontaneously cry out: thank God. This is a common and simple expression, and thereare many others that are similar. The responsorial psalm expresses in words oftheological value, saying: This is the day that the Lord has made, let usrejoice and be glad because of it!" (Ps 118). The general reason for our positive and joyful expressionto be manifested in the solemn celebration, is that the Lord Jesus is risenfrom the dead. Sin and death, and all their influences are defeated by Him. Atfirst glance, but it is very real, it is realized that the enemies are veryfrightening and far stronger. It seems they never finish, especially becauseSatan never sleeps. Satan tempts and continues to bring us trouble. So for us, thereis always around us threat to fall into sin and finally encounter death. But it has been proven more than two thousand yearsago that Jesus Christ the Son of God succeeded in defeating all these evilforces. Starting from there, the whole world and humanity have the belief inaccordance with their respective religions, that sin and evil can be defeated.Every time either personally or together when we meet trials and torments ofsin and evil, we all always have a firm conviction, that all wil eventuallypass because God is with us and He always guides our lives. One very real and undeniable form of God's guidance isthat we always have hope. We are able to rise from the fall and sufferings. Inthe midst of today’s various problems in the fields of economy, politic andsocial, our common attitude is to make joint efforts to fight, defendourselves, and care for one another, so that we are not defeated by the currentdangers. No matter how great the enemy is when confronted and fought together,and with the power of the risen Lord, that opponent will definitely be defeated. All the testimonies of the resurrection of the LordJesus Christ are truly indisputable. The testimonies shown very clearly, beganwith His tomb being found empty, He Himself appeared to the apostles anddisciples, including the moment He ate with them after His resurrection, and toa spirituality for all His followers in their journey of faith on earth.Christian spirituality is the style and spirit that we have and the fruit offollowing Christ. We die with Christ in sin and evil, but we eventually rise withHim to live forever with Him. To all of you and each of us, let us express avery precious wish: Happy Easter 2026.Let'spray.
