In the second episode of Season 2, we were lucky to be joined in studio by a former fighter jet pilot who currently is apart of the RAF training Alex is participating in. In the hour we spent talking, we discussed the benefits of joining the RAF, such as travelling the world during the Cold War, as well as the toll that the job can take, for example on your family members who are deserted whenever you're called to work.

Beats with bits Podcast Sergio Miranda Some hypnotic, dark and beautifully crafted beats for your ears!Sergio Miranda, a Mexico-born Belgium resident, found his passion for the world of vinyl, turntables and the DJ culture at the lawless warehouses and outdoor parties that took the streets of Mexico City in the late 80s.His love for those early house / acid / techno sounds and the dark electronic melodies from new wave and rock bands such as New Order, Depeche Mode and The Cure, meant he soon started working as a lighting technician before getting his first taste behind the decks in the early 90s.As of that moment and for more than a decade, he has enjoyed a long and varied DJ career: he has played in many clubs in Mexico City, hotels in Cancun, the Dominican Republic and Fuerteventura Spain. In conjunction with this, Sergio has also held the position of sound and lighting technician for several musical theatre productions. After a few years of self-imposed abstinence and building on the existing technical possibilities, Stray Pointers Jim Lawless Stray Pointers is a podcast where seemingly ordinary people join us for extraordinary discussions. There are a lot of amazing people out there. I thought that it would be interesting to interview people accomplishing or having accomplished amazing things in a variety of subject areas including computing, BBS's, hacking, health care, music, comic books, writing, illustration, education, journalism, podcasting, startups, electronics, video games, astronomy, agriculture ... you name it.For more information about the podcast, please see Jim Lawless' Stray Pointers page at:https://straypointers.comIllustration is © 2023 by Rick J. My favourite mantra is time=money. Northern Ireland is a lawless place, and most people don't realise exactly how. This podcast is accompanied by the book "The Belfast Money Machine" which covers how Northern Ireland extracts its money from Westminster, and, in part squanders it. Gunsmoke - Old Time Radio Inception Point Ai "Gunsmoke" is an iconic American radio and television Western drama series that originally aired on radio from 1952 to 1961 and later transitioned to television, where it ran from 1955 to 1975. Created by Norman Macdonnell and John Meston, the show is considered one of the greatest and most enduring classics in the history of American broadcast entertainment.Radio Version (1952-1961): The radio version of "Gunsmoke" is often celebrated for its realistic and gritty portrayal of life in the American Old West during the late 19th century. The series revolved around the character of Marshal Matt Dillon, portrayed by William Conrad in the early years and later by Howard McNear and Parley Baer. Marshal Dillon is a principled and stoic lawman tasked with maintaining order and justice in the lawless town of Dodge City, Kansas. The show's tagline, "the story of the violence that moved west with young America, and the story of a man who moved with it," captures its central theme.Key characters i
