How does it affect your behaviour and day to day decisions? How does it impact the way you treat others? The nobles and officials showed genuine repentance when they chose to take immediate action to correct their sinful ways. Are there areas of your life that are not fully surrendered to God? What do you need to repent of today? To help you- you may want to meditate on Psalm 139: 23-24, "Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting."
