She highlighted the fact that we can often end up excluding spoken explanation of the Gospel from them and that they are a lot worse off for this. How do you intentionally look for opportunities to share your faith with others both in word and deed? How could we find creative ways to share the gospel within social action projects in ways which are culturally sensitive and non-coercive? Why are we hesitant at times about sharing faith? Do we need to be more used to taking risks?

Our vision at THCC is to give every single man, woman and child in Tower Hamlets (and beyond) the opportunity to hear, understand and respond to the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Spend some time reflecting on what this would actually look and feel like if this vision was to become a reality. How does this make you feel? What excites you? What concerns you? Caroline spoke about intentional missional living being about having a perspective over our lives that sees us as missionaries where God has placed us.  Who are the people that God is placing in your life?  Where are you seeing God already at work in their lives?

Take a moment and think about: How alive are you in your faith? Are you seeing the gifts of the spirit demonstrated in your life or are you drifting? What is standing between you and God, what might you be prioritising instead? How can you take a simple step today to strengthen your faith by changing something about your relationship to the answer to question 2?

THCC Husk Speaker: John Day Sermon Recorded on: 08/09/2024 Main Passage: Revelation 2:18-29 (Letter to Thyatira) Reflection: What difference does it make when you consider that the one who has been given all authority sends us out to the nations with His authority (Rev 2: 26, Matt 28:18-19)? Are there "so called deep secrets" that you are being drawn into and distracted by (Rev 2:24)? Remember "the main things are the plain things and the plain things are the main things". Take time, if you are married, to discuss what it means to exercise authority over one another's bodies. Enjoy taking authority over Satan by your sexual intimacy (1 Corinthians 7:4-5). Consider the church responsibility we share to exercise loving authority by pointing out a brother or sister's sin in order "to win them over" (Matthew 18:15).

If Jesus were to write about us as He did to the Churches in Relevation, what might He say? What are in danger of becoming idols in our lives? Is the good in our lives taking the place of the best?

Take some time to think about your life. Are there any ways this is true of you? Are there things that you once had moved on from that you are falling back into? The idea of dealing with issues of sin at the gates can be quite a helpful picture. How are you guarding the gates of your life? Often that is the things that influence our hearts and minds that we let in through our eyes, ears and mouths. What challenges you in this? This was our last talk from Nehemiah. What things have most impacted you as we have looked at it?

THCC Husk Speaker: Bex White Sermon Recorded on: 28/07/2024 Main Passage: Nehemiah 13:1-14; 13:23-31 Reflection: How is your situation similar to that of the people in Nehemiah's day? You might want to think about pressures on one side, and temptation on the other. We looked at two ways in which Jeremiah was 'ruthless' - can you remember them? Hint - one was to do with a book of the Bible. We saw a pretty relatable example of how things slide when a leader is away. What does Jesus' promise in John 14, of leaving us the Spirit, mean for you? How is your situation different from the people of Nehemiah's day as a result?
