When the angel comes to Zechariah, he looks at all his grief - and pauses. The miracle of Christmas begins with one person's willingness to trust what she couldn't see, and another person facing the grief of his own story. The Light of the world enters through humble, open, and audaciously courageous hearts. Advent invites us to the same posture: audacious courage, surrendered trust, and the risk of saying yes to God.Read ahead in Luke 1 to get familiar with the stories that will be shared regarding Mary and Zechariah.
