Once my godbrother, Vatsala, gave his Bhagavad-gītā class, and he gave the example of yogurt. How do you make yogurt? Well, first you get some milk from Bhakti Farms—because there’s no better milk on the planet! I’ve watched Nirkulā make yogurt all the time—you get the right kind of pot, and you have to use a thermometer to find out the exact temperature. Then you put in some culture of yogurt from a previous batch. And how much does it take? A dollop! How much is a dollop? Anybody know? It’s not specifically defined, but it’s like just a little bit—a dollop. You put a dollop in, then you leave it in that environment, and what happens? The whole pot turns to yogurt. It takes to the culture, and then it spreads and it becomes part of it. In a similar way, my godbrother Vatsala said, "We have the big pot of our life." What’s in it? All kinds of stuff. If you really take the time now, before the New Year comes, and you write down everything you’re doing, you’ll be shocked at all the stuff you’re doing simultaneously. You’re doing a lot. And then if you think, "Okay, how much am I chanting Hare Kṛṣṇa? A dollop? I’ve got a little dollop going on here?" You keep doing that, as Prabhupāda is pointing out here (BG 8.7), and adjust your intention. Why am I doing what I’m doing? It’s like, "I’m offering to Kṛṣṇa," and we should be sincere about that. Then as we do, that chanting and that intention will envelop the entire pot, and it will turn to something else. It’s a foregone conclusion that that will happen. So, it’s not a disadvantage to be engaged in the world. It’s only a disadvantage when you forget Kṛṣṇa. When you remember Kṛṣṇa, then 'vidyāṁ cāvidyāṁ ca yas' (Iso Mantra 7)—you see two things at the same time. You see ignorance and the result of ignorant activities, and you see Kṛṣṇa consciousness, you see the antidote. Those two become a solid realization when you see them side by side. It’s so interesting, isn’t it, to be engaged in the world when you’re reading Bhagavad-gītā? ------------------------------------------------------------ To connect with His Grace Vaiśeṣika Dāsa, please visit https://www.fanthespark.com/next-steps/ask-vaisesika-dasa/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Add to your wisdom literature collection: https://iskconsv.com/book-store/ https://www.bbtacademic.com/books/ https://thefourquestionsbook.com/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Join us live on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/FanTheSpark/ Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/sound-bhakti/id1132423868 For the latest videos, subscribe https://www.youtube.com/@FanTheSpark For the latest in SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/fan-the-spark ------------------------------------------------------------ #spiritualawakening #soul #spiritualexperience #spiritualpurposeoflife #spiritualgrowthlessons #secretsofspirituality #vaisesikaprabhu #vaisesikadasa #vaisesikaprabhulectures #spirituality #bhaktiyoga #krishna #spiritualpurposeoflife #krishnaspirituality #spiritualusachannel #whybhaktiisimportant #whyspiritualityisimportant #vaisesika #spiritualconnection #thepowerofspiritualstudy #selfrealization #spirituallectures #spiritualstudy #spiritualquestions #spiritualquestionsanswered #trendingspiritualtopics #fanthespark #spiritualpowerofmeditation #spiritualteachersonyoutube #spiritualhabits #spiritualclarity #bhagavadgita #srimadbhagavatam #spiritualbeings #kttvg #keepthetranscendentalvibrationgoing #spiritualpurpose

Song Against Songs, The by G. K. Chesterton (1874 - 1936) LibriVox LibriVox volunteers bring you 9 recordings of The Song Against Songs by G. K. Chesterton. This was the Fortnightly Poetry project for October 16, 2011.Chesterton was a large man, standing 6 feet 4 inches (1.93 m) and weighing around 21 stone (130 kg; 290 lb). His girth gave rise to a famous anecdote. During World War I a lady in London asked why he was not 'out at the Front'; he replied, 'If you go round to the side, you will see that I am.' On another occasion he remarked to his friend George Bernard Shaw: "To look at you, anyone would think a famine had struck England". Shaw retorted, "To look at you, anyone would think you have caused it". P. G. Wodehouse once described a very loud crash as "a sound like Chesterton falling onto a sheet of tin."( Summary from Wikipedia ) Spanish with Levi Levi Flint 🎙️ Welcome to Spanish with Levi — formerly Mexican Fluency.I’m Levi — a gringo with a Master’s in Teaching Spanish — and I’m here to help you understand and sound more Mexican when you speak.Alongside my Mexican wife, Renata, I share practical tips, immersive stories, and real conversations to help you build fluency and speak with confidence.📅 New episodes every week:• Tuesdays: Smarter ways to study Spanish• Thursdays: Immersive content — stories, scene breakdowns, and interviewsExplore my courses, blog, and more at SpanishWithLevi.com📱 Follow me on social: @SpanishWithLevi Newsic – The sound of the headlines Newsic Team Newsic – The sound of the headlines.
