REHAB-02-a · Pain Rehab: Headaches, CRPS, and the Post-Amputation Pain Triad
from Reflex — PM&R Board Review
Pain Rehab: Headaches, CRPS, and the Post-Amputation Pain Triad. Part of the Rehabilitation Topics series of the Reflex PM&R Board Review podcast. Audio correction: In the audio: prescribing oral vitamin C at a dose of 200 to 500 milligrams daily — Correct: The supported prophylactic dose is 500 mg daily for 50 days, not a 200-to-500 mg range. In the dose-response trial the 500 mg and 1500 mg arms significantly reduced CRPS after wrist fracture while the 200 mg arm did not reach significance, and the trial recommends 500 mg for fifty days. The other placebo-controlled prophylaxis trial also used 500 mg. The written chapter is correct. Full correction register: https://www.reflexpmr.com/errata. The full companion chapter and a linked board-style Q-bank set for this topic are at https://www.reflexpmr.com/read/REHAB-02-a.
