Reimagining Dementia - Making The World A Better Place
from Alzheimer's Speaks · host Lori La Bey
Our Host, Lori La Bey will be talking with three people from the group Reimagining Dementia. Robin Gertin is an artist who works creatively with people living with dementia at the Bitove Method, a virtual arts-based learning centre and as the co-creator of The Good Conversations, a dementia friendly video series. She has almost 20 years experience working as an expressive arts therapist with people of all ages and abilities. Simon Law is a two time Grammy winning musician / worker in song / record producer. He has worked with people living with dementia for 8 years, inspired by his father’s 18 year journey with Alzheimer’s and caring for him. Through his work he has come to see the true transformative and lifegiving power of music. Wally Cox is an advocate for those with dementia and for those who care and love them. His goal is to see a reframing of how many view this disease... from a life of can't, to a life of can. I am on the board for Dementia Alliance International and on the steering committee with Reimagining Dementia.
