Luke 17:3 (KJV) 3 Take heed to yourselves: If thy brother trespass against thee, rebuke him; and if he repent, forgive him. Luke 17:3 (AMP) 3 Pay attention and always be on your guard [looking out for one another]. If your brother sins (misses the mark), solemnly tell him so and reprove him, and if he repents (feels sorry for having sinned), forgive him. Luke 17:4 (KJV) 4 And if he trespass against thee seven times in a day, and seven times in a day turn again to thee, saying, I repent; thou shalt forgive him. Matthew 18:22 (KJV) 22 Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven. Luke 23:34 (KJV) 34 Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And they parted his raiment, and cast lots. Hebrews 8:12 (KJV) 12 For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more. Hebrews 12:15 (KJV) 15 Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled; Hebrews 12:15 (AMP) 15 Exercise foresight and be on the watch to look [after one another], to see that no one falls back from and fails to secure God's grace (His unmerited favor and spiritual blessing), in order that no root of resentment (rancor, bitterness, or hatred) shoots forth and causes trouble and bitter torment, and the many become contaminated and defiled by it— John 12:7-8 (KJV) 7 Then said Jesus, Let her alone: against the day of my burying hath she kept this. 8 For the poor always ye have with you; but me ye have not always. John 13:2 (KJV) 2 And supper being ended, the devil having now put into the heart of Judas Iscariot, Simon's son, to betray him; James 3:16 (KJV) 16 For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work. Ephesians 4:32 (AMP) 32 And become useful and helpful and kind to one another, tenderhearted (compassionate, understanding, loving-hearted), forgiving one another [readily and freely], as God in Christ forgave you.
