Luke 17:3 (KJV) 3 Take heed to yourselves: If thy brother trespass against thee, rebuke him; and if he repent, forgive him. Luke 17:3 (AMP) 3 Pay attention and always be on your guard [looking out for one another]. If your brother sins (misses the mark), solemnly tell him so and reprove him, and if he repents (feels sorry for having sinned), forgive him. Luke 17:4 (KJV) 4 And if he trespass against thee seven times in a day, and seven times in a day turn again to thee, saying, I repent; thou shalt forgive him. Matthew 18:22 (KJV) 22 Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven. Luke 23:34 (KJV) 34 Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And they parted his raiment, and cast lots.
