Remembering Sir David the Bard: The OG Mormon Temple Whistleblower | Ex-Mormon Pioneer

There are some people in the ex-Mormon community who leave the Church… and there are others who help open the door for everyone who comes after them.**Sir David the Bard was one of those people.**David passed away on **August 10, 2026**, leaving behind a remarkable legacy as one of the early ex-Mormon voices willing to publicly discuss subjects that were once considered strictly off-limits—including LDS temple rituals and experiences from inside the temple.Long before ex-Mormon YouTube became what it is today, David was openly talking about his experiences and challenging the secrecy surrounding Mormon temple practices. As a former temple worker, he was willing to shine a light on things that many members had never heard discussed publicly. In this episode of **Mormon News Roundup**, we remember David through the stories of his friend **Allison**, who shares personal memories and powerful stories about the man behind the videos—his personality, his experiences, and the courage it took to speak publicly. We also revisit one of David's videos documenting allegations and stories of abuse involving women inside LDS temples.Whatever you think of David's style, there's no denying that he helped push conversations into the open. For those who came later, the path was a little easier because people like David had already walked it.**Today, we remember the pioneer.**Rest in peace, Sir David the Bard.#ExMormon #Mormonism #LDS #MormonNewsRoundup #SirDavidTheBard #Temple #ExMormonYouTube #MormonTemple #LDSChurchPlease consider making a donation by joining our Patreon https://www.patreon.com/MormonNewsRoundup Email: [email protected] Website: https://mormonnewsroundup.org/ TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@mormonnewsroundup Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/mormon_news_roundup/ Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100093511869924 X: https://twitter.com/NewsMormon New episodes LIVE every Sunday and Monday nights at 9:30PM ESTPlease like and subscribe and hit the notifications bell.
