Remembering Tramore's Fleadh Mór 33 Years Later

from The Big Breakfast Blaa · host WLR

Fleadh Mór in 1993 was a two-day open-air festival in Tramore Racecourse. It was a roaring success, never to be repeated, and destined to go down in history as a shining example of one of Waterford's finest achievements. The racecourse played host to extraordinary acts such as Bob Dylan, Christy Moore, Ray Charles, The Pogues, Shane McGown, Jerry Lee Lewis, Maria McKee and many, many more. 33 years later, we look back on the memories made and the friendships bolstered during those two days in Tramore. Local man, Eoin Crowley was among those in attendance and he joined Ollie and Dymphna on air to reflect on the impact and legacy that the late Vince Power left behind. Keep up to date on all the latest from The Big Breakfast Blaa with Ollie and Dymphna from 6am until 10am daily.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
