Meryl Streep vs. the Drohans: Who Really Owned the Coat?
It was a battle of the curtain tassled coats this morning on The Big Breakfast Blaa with the Drohans! For one week only in a special broadcast, Ellen joined Grace in studio for The Buzz. Fresh off the back of seeing The Devil Wears Prada 2, the ladies were starry-eyed for Miranda Priestly and her fancy coat. While the pricetag might have been a little high, they have a solid plan for a local version with curtain tassels, pelmets and a hot glue gun. With the notions still high, Grace floated in with her caffeine infused water.... and an awful lot of love for David Attenborough on his 100th birthday. 'Are Ye Well Fest' kicks off for 3 full days of free events and gigs
The inaugural 'Are Ye Well Fest' kicks off Friday, May 8th for a three-day run of free events. Running across Tallow, Cappoquin, and Lismore, a full programme of events is planned. Things kick off in St. Carthage's Cathedral in Lismore on Friday evening at 7pm with music from John Stack, motivational speaker Edgar Kirby and much more. Then on Saturday a free sunrise kayak from Lismore to Cappoquin takes place at 6am. This is followed by a BBQ Breakfast on Cappoquin Quay with a full day of events planned. In Tallow, later that day the artwork from the National School is unveiled at the public toilets. This is the culmination of the work of students, teachers, and community members who all thought about what happiness and hope looks like to them. Sunday sees Lismore's Millenium Park host a day of events from yoga, pilates, speakers, mindfulness, playful streets, games and more from midday. All events are run by local organisation, West Waterford Mental Health Awareness in a bid to increase awareness of positive mental health across the region.
