ReMix-Master Suite (Dave K-OS Remix 1989)
This is a demo version of Mix-Master Suite. What was originally done as a remix to Funkadelic's One Nation Under A Groove by Dave K-OS, morphed into several versions. George's label at the time couldn't or wouldn't give clearance to any of the P-Funk songs that were originally scratch/mixed throughout One Nation so all of those were cut out of the mix. George had sent me a rather clean cassette copy of what he and Debra Barsha were able to sample then re-arrange into a bottom track that was in the same tempo of One Nation. The cuts that survived were the Fishbone, Red Hot Chili Peppers and the Real Roxanne scratches I had done in the fall of 1985. I did a version at a local studio with that cassette copy cleaned up a bit and put some more P-Funk cuts in it, sent the tape off to him but the package came back opened with no tape inside. The package never made it out of the post office. By Spring of 1986 the song was released on R&B Skeleton's In The Closet . I had forgotten all of the previous scratch/mixes I did so I sat down and produced a 4-Track demo version in 1989 and called it Re-Mix Master Suite. This is almost close to what was originally done.
