Remove the Stone and have Jesus says, "let him go free."

As we enter the final week of Lent, Fr. Sikstus reflects on the theme of "death and new life."Drawing from the prophet Ezekiel, Fr. Sikstus reminds us of God promises' "I am going to open your graves...and raise you from your graves." The grave symbolizes our moments of despair, suffering, and feeling trapped. But God will bring new life and hope.In the Gospel of Lazarus, Fr. Sikstus highlights Martha's unwavering faith. Her words become a model for us: to believe that God is still present and active, even when all seems lost.The "stone" before Lazarus' tomb represents the obstacles in our lives - sin, fear, and lack of faith - all which hold us back from truly living in Christ. As we prepare for Easter, we are invited to reflect: What are the stones we need to remove?
