受持续低迷的生育率影响，韩国学龄人口大幅减少，当地中小学将迎来史上规模最大的“关停潮”。综合韩国KBS电视台、《韩国日报》、《世界日报》等媒体报道，韩国国会教育委员会委员、共同民主党议员陈善美23日收到来自该国教育部发布的《全国学校关停现状》报告。该报告显示，韩国计划今年关停17个地区的49所中小学，包括38所小学、8所初中和3所高中，关停总数比去年增长了约48.5%。
