Replacement of John Lewis' Congressional Seat- How it Works & Why We Need to Make Some Noise

from Rethinking Humanity · host Lacey Delayne

I wanted to do a quick episode to inform you on an injustice that is taking place here in Atlanta, in John Lewis' historic district. This is the district Sonya and I live in. I cannot see the ugliness of what is happening here without saying something. All of it is a bit confusing, so I invited Maya Dillard Smith, a Civil Lawyer and the Former Director of the Georgia ACLU, to help clarify in the clearest most concise manner. She and I and several others are working together to bring awareness to this issue and call for an election to honor our democracy and the late John Lewis. You can see more of what we have done in creating the John Lewis Coalition for Democracy (@_JLCD_) and our press conference from Friday 7/24/20, as well as some media coverage, by checking out my twitter page @LaceyDelayne. In the meantime, please Sign the petition & Come to the Protest!Petition: http://chng.it/jdhBj7ww Protest: Friday, August 7, 4:00pm, Office of the Democratic Party of Georgia, 501 Pulliam Street SW, Atlanta, GA 30312 - Bring Signs! I'm Patti and it's been said - many times - that I talk too much. I'm a teacher, author, nature lover and for ten years I owned a coffeehouse cafe where my faith in the goodness of humans was restored every day. This podcast highlights the awesomeness of humanity - er...outside the warmongers, globalists, tyrants and politicians in general. You know, the rest of us weird, quirky and sometimes hilarious humans. We'll talk woo, probe mysteries and leave you thinking about something more interesting or entertaining or uplifting than your grocery list, or boss or that oil change your car needs. I talk too much because I can't help my Gemini moon and Leo Rising nature. I do a podcast because it's cheaper, funnier and more productive than therapy.  Inside AI Alex Turner & Skyler Woods 🔍 Inside AI is your daily guide to the fast-moving world of artificial intelligence.
