REPLAY: Galesburg Silver Streaks football vs Normal U-High

The Galesburg Silver Streaks football team is now 2 - 2 on the season with two non-conference home wins after defeating Normal U-High, 57 - 36, at Van Dyke Field.  Galesburg led 18 - 14 at the end of the 1st quarter and put up 19 more points in the 2nd quarter to lead 37 - 20 at halftime. Streaks got out scored by one in the 3rd quarter but then added two touchdowns in the 4th quarter to seal the victory. The Silver Streaks' Prosper Aremu had a big night with 15 carries for 156 yards and four touchdowns, which came on his last eight carries. Grady Hickey carried the ball 5 times for 24 yards and a touchdown, while Corey McGee had 12 carries for 80 yards. It was the biggest offensive night on the ground for the Streaks this season. Quarterback Grady Hickey finished the night 8 of 17 for 166 yards and 3 touchdowns. Antwon Walker had 4 receptions for 107 yards and 3 of those catches were in the end zone. Braden Sholl had a 10 yard reception, Derrick Curtis had an 18 yard catch, and Prosper Aremu had a 15 yard reception. For being physically the most dominant player in the game on both offense and defense, the Dave's Autobody Crunch Time Player of the Game went to Prosper Aremu. His physicality broke U-High's spirit to continue playing at a competitive level. The Silver Streaks try for their first conference win when Sterling comes to town next Friday night for Homecoming.
