REPLAY: GHS Silver Streaks boys basketball vs Bettendorf

The Galesburg Silver Streaks boys basketball team lost their second consecutive game in as many days when they fell to the Bettendorf Bulldogs, 62-31. The game was apart of the annual Illinois-Iowa shootout held on the campus of Augustana College. With the win, Bettendorf assured that Iowa schools would win the overall tournament for the tenth straight season as Iowa went to 4-0 against Illinois schools. The Silver Streaks have now lost 4 of their last 5 falling to 5-4 on the season. Cesaire Bile led the Streaks in scoring with 11 points. Eden Mayala was named the Dave's Auto Body Crunch Time Player of the Game scoring 6 points, grabbing 7 rebounds, and adding 3 steals. Galesburg finished 14 of 45 from the field, went 3 of 23 from deep, and shot just 1 free throw. They grabbed 24 rebounds and had 4 assists to 12 turnovers. The Silver Streaks will not return until after Christmas. Their next action will be for the Chuck Dayton Holiday Classic on December 27-28 in DeKalb.
