In the final game of the Sandburg Shootout Saturday night at Sandburg College, the Galesburg High School boys basketball team fell to Bloomington, 75 - 63. The Silver Streaks were down just 6-points going into the 4th quarter, but then gave up 29-points in the quarter on the way to their seventh loss of the season. Galesburg shot 26 of 52 from the field, 4 of 10 from three-point range, and 7 of 16 from the free throw line.  They pulled down 40 rebounds, had 14 assists, and committed 22 turnovers. Eden Mayala led the way for the Silver Streaks in scoring with 17 points, Rakhim McCellen matched his career-high with 15 points, and Jaxon Wyatt finished with 10 points. Those three were among the leading rebounders as well with Mayala and Wyatt both grabbing eight rebounds. With the energy that he provided off the bench and a strong defensive effort, Rahkim McCellen was named the Dave's Auto Body Crunch Time Player of the Game. He finished the night with 15 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 blocks. The Silver Streaks get back into Western Big 6 conference play on Friday when they travel to Moline.
