REPLAY: GHS Silver Streaks girls basketball vs Peoria Notre Dame

The Galesburg Silver Streaks girls basketball team took on the Peoria Notre Dame Irish in an early marquee matchup for the season. The Streaks used their speed as a blueprint from the very start to wear down the Irish for a 51-37 victory. The win puts Galesburg at 10-1 on the season. Sophomore Zaniyah Carter led the Streaks with 12 points. Ella Herchenroder added 10, Jozalyn Kilgore had 7, and Khloe May shot two three-pointers to finish with 6. The Streaks finished the night shooting 17 of 39 from the field, 6 of 15 from deep, and 11 of 14 from the charity stripe. Galesburg also had 24 boards and 11 assists on 8 turnovers. After scoring two early three-pointers to set the tone, Khloe May, was named the Dave's Auto Body Crunch Time Player of the Game. Along with her 6 points, she added an assist and 3 steals to her statline. Next up for the Galesburg girls is a Western Big 6 matchup at Geneseo on Thursday night.
