 Restored, Not Erased

from ConBERTAciones · host Berta P. Weyenberg

Deep sleep. For years, we were told that while we sleep deeply, memories fade… even disappear. But recent understanding tells a different story.Nothing is being erased. It is being restored.Refreshed.Like when our phones or computers update,it’s not a new system,it’s the same one… functioning better. And I couldn’t help but think…What if that’s exactly what happens within us?What if, in deep rest, our perfectly designed brain begins to clear the noiseand gently retouch what is already there, adding clarity, bringing back color, restoring what once felt blurry or overwhelming? Not removing our memories…but renewing how we carry them. And then it becomes clear:Rest is not a luxury. It is part of the design.Because it’s not only our minds that are refreshedit is our bodies too. This body, this temple, was given to us to live, to serve, to honor. And when we function from exhaustion, from depletion, from constant strain,we are not walking in the fullness of what we were created for.But when we allow ourselves to rest, truly restwe return stronger, clearer, more aligned.Ready.So today, let this be a reminder:Take care of what carries you.Honor what was entrusted to you.Because you don’t need a new version of yourself, you simply need to be restored.Rest is not weakness, it is where God renews your strength.BW
