RETREAT vs. Conference

Controversial! I'm calling out conferences that are calling themselves "retreats". Workshops, programs, course, conferences - these all have their place, but simply labelling it a retreat, does not a retreat make. The holding of space and the intention you set for your retreat is such a crucial part of the experience. And slipping into the territory of full programs, big venues and over delivering can really impact what your event ends up delivering. In this episode, I go through the differences between retreats and conferences, and the importance of marketing your event appropriately for the transformation you're promising.
