Co-hosts Brad Forsythe & Ray Schilens interview Retrofit Films’ Chris Hanada. After graduating from Loyola Marymount University’s film school, Chris Hanada started his entertainment career working at Tom Cruise and Paula Wagner’s C/W Productions. During his five years at the company he wore many hats that included ever-increasing responsibilities in script and story development, research, production management and international public relations on a diverse slate of feature films including “Mission: Impossible II,” “Vanilla Sky” and “The Others.” In 2002, Chris left Cruise/Wagner to work in feature films, serving as a production coordinator on such films as “The Lords of Dogtown,” “Mr. & Mrs. Smith” and “Just Like Heaven.” In 2004, Chris and his producing partner Tanner Kling formed Retrofit Films, a new media venture that has continued to push the boundaries in the transmedia space by directing and producing a variety of mobile, web and broadcast campaigns for such clients as NBC/Universal, Fox, Disney, Warner Bros, The CW, Dreamworks, adidas, Sprint, AT&T, Honda, MILK, Kia, Ogilvy, and Unilever. Chris Hanada is a member of the PGA New Media Council and the International Academy of Web Television (IAWTV). He has given numerous presentations and spoken on panels about the state and future of digital media at South by Southwest Interactive, Cinegear, Variety’s Mobile Summit, UCLA, USC, and the University of Texas -LA.
