Return To Oz (1985)
from The Gory Gays · host Alex Marquez & Stanley Jacobus
Gory babies... it's our 1 YEAR ANNIVERSARY EPISODE! So naturally, we're slashing up and bleeding out perhaps our scariest film to date... and it's a Disney film...? Oh yes... it's finally time for RETURN TO OZ (1985), aka one of Stanley's personal favorites. Join us as we tip-toe down the Yellow Brick Road with young Dorothy (played here by Fairuza Balk in a lil powerhouse performance that set the tone for her career) and her smart-ass chicken, Billina (our actual spirit animal) -- and talk everything Oz, from our own obsessions with the original classic, how we feel about our first year on the podcast map, and of course, so much more! Spooky Season is here, guys. Thanks for sticking it out with us this last year, and we'll be back next week with our gory thoughts on NIGHT OF THE DEMONS (1988). - The Gory Gays Instagram @thegorygays / YouTube @thegorygays / Threads @thegorygays / Patreon.com/thegorygays / www.thegorygays.com
