Return to Sender

from Battle Plan · host Nate Battle

We will all lose loved ones, which tends to change us forever, depending on our relationship with them. Separate from this, we cross paths with many people in our lives that come and go. Some of those relationships end intentionally, while others end unexpectedly or unfortunately. Nearly all relationships of substance and meaning create the sting of loss when ending. Sometimes, we even feel like we cannot go on. The truth is that we existed before the relationships and, thus, can exist afterward. It may be painful at first, but it is possible if we do not lose ourselves, who we are, and our authentic selves while in the relationship. Know that no one is going to love you more than you love yourself, no one is going to care about you more than you care about yourself, and no one is going to respect you more than you respect yourself. While we may want or desire others, we only truly need ourselves. Shifting our mindsets to being our own most important person and prioritizing our relationships with ourselves as the most important relationship we will ever have serves us best. After all, we are the ones we will spend the most time with during our lives, more than any other human. If this video resonated with you, consider giving it a like and share it with others.
